Melior Community Academy are looking to appoint an Education Welfare Officer to their high performing Secondary Academy in Scunthorpe. The role will provide an education welfare service for students and their families at the Academy. To ensure, in conjunction with others, that students receive education appropriate to their needs by regular attendance at the academy. To assist them to obtain maximum benefit from their education and to be involved in the development of the service and staff.
The school follows a strong ethos that every child will achieve and encourages students to take part in all elements of the school.
The school has been recently been rebuilt and facilities are excellent, located within easy commuting distance of the main urban areas across the region. This is a great place to work. We are keen to hear from teachers who thrive in high achieving schools - challenging both themselves and their students to achieve outstanding results. The school has an above average progress 8 score of 0.17 with 34% of students gaining at least 5 in English and Maths and 50% at 4+ in their 2019 GCSE results.
