Are you passionate about supporting young people in their learning journey? We are seeking to recruit Educational Assistants within Inscape House School which is a specialist day school for autistic children and young people aged 5 to 19 years.
You will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and helping our young people to conquer barriers and surpass expectations in an inclusive environment.
Hours: 34.5 Hours
Salary: £21,101.62 - Prorated - full time equivalent £26,230
Location: Inscape House School, Cheadle
Key responsibilities
Maintain a safe, supportive and stimulating classroom environment
Responsible for promoting safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
Support the classroom teacher in preparing resources and manging the classroom environment
Assist with implementing individual education plans and learning materials to meet the needs of our young people
Administrative task such as record keeping and organising learning activities
Other duties as required by the Trust or by the line manager and other senior leaders
About you
Genuine passion for working with children and supporting young people
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate and work as part of a team
Positive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children with special needs
Good ICT skills
Flexibility approach in dealing with changing circumstances
Relevant qualification or training is desirable but not essential.
An understanding of autism and neurodiversity
