Job overview
Exciting challenge for EPs to join our Welfare Service, with scope for future development. Initially a part time role with potential for full time, across Croydon and Sutton schools
This new flexible role is emerging to meet the identified and growing need to support young people in our trust schools and beyond; this is a career developmental role, where the successful candidate has the opportunity to mould and develop and potentially expand the educational psychology offering within our growing Welfare Service provision.
Initially we are offering a Term Time only 3-day per week contract for a year, with the potential for this to become full time and permanent.
Over the past year this successful 4-school, cross-phase, multi-academy trust (MAT) in South London has been on an exciting journey building a welfare service for use by our schools, as well as offering this to other local schools interested in our bespoke service, to offer a high quality, flexible and cost-effective alternative to the other options available.
We are committed to the health and well-being of learners from Early Years through to the end of the Sixth Form. Initially this is being advertised as a part time position, but we invite applications from qualified EPs who might be interested in considering a full time commitment, with a focus on building up the service provision.
*As the Educational Psychologist for Folio your responsibilities include:
• Providing a high-quality evidence-based psychological service to children and young people across the trust and to schools who buy in to our service.
• Working with senior leaders to develop Folio’s Educational Psychology Service including the formulation of policy and practice around the Service Level Agreement to be offered.
As a motivated, organised, flexible, independent and dedicated professional you will recognise the advantages of both teamwork and peer support. Candidates with the passion to enhance the life chances of young people and an ability to relate to children, young people, parents and professionals with clarity and sensitivity are welcomed.
In the future there is potential to expand and promote the shared services beyond the Folio schools, offering scope for marketing and innovation.
