This role presents an exciting opportunity for an Educational Psychologist (EP) who wants to use their knowledge and skills in psychology to make a meaningful difference to the lives of autistic pupils. As per the Charity's mission to ‘stand with autistic children and young people', the role involves prioritising outcomes that are meaningful and important to the children and young people in Treehouse School. It involves supporting reflective practice within the teams around the pupils, to enable provision of emotionally containing and supportive learning environments.
The roles is part of the Integrated Services team, that comprises of dynamic teams of Occupational Therapists, PBS Specialists and Speech and Language Therapists. Enhancing quality of life of children and young people with autism and learning disabilities is central to all we do.
We are looking for a person that has:
- Doctorate in Educational Psychology
- Experience of working with children and young people with autism and learning disabilities
- Successful experience of designing and delivering effective consultation and training programmes for other professionals and families
- Applying the latest research evidence and evaluative thinking in practice & ensures all practice is person centered
- Advanced skills in building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships and co-producing solutions to challenges with children and young people, professionals and parents/carers

Our Curriculum:
Our curriculum is tailored to each pupil’s unique qualities, specific needs, and individual starting points. In this way, we can set accurate targets for progress.
In our individualised learning programmes, we assess each pupil extensively and consider their strengths and what they find more challenging. Our curriculum is creative and flexible, using our natural environment to extend pupils’ learning. You are as likely to see maths being practised in the shop, the community or the garden as you are in the classroom. Where appropriate, our curriculum is linked to and, where necessary, differentiated from the National Curriculum’s requirements.
