About the role
Evgeny Primakov Gymnasium in cooperation with StudyLab School in Moscow seeks an Educational Team Leader, to take over the job duties before December 2017.
The Educational Team Leader will be responsible for the extracurricular program of the School, represented by the subjects of Drama, Science, Maths, Arts & Crafts and English as a Second Language. The lessons take place 5 days a week in small groups of 8-10 students. The goal for academic year 2017-2018 is to get the students speaking English fluently, so that next academic year 2018-2019 we can introduce more subjects based on the British Curriculum. We are looking for an Educational Team Leader to join our team no later than December 2017.

This position is ideal for professionals who have educational start-up experience, served as Founder Head before, demonstrate strong leadership skills, have a deep interest in dual-language education and have worked internationally before.
Core functions
- Provide orientation, appraisal, development and leadership to the English-speaking faculty through training, staff meetings, observations, workshops
- Ensure that teachers provide high-quality learning experience and supportive, collaborative work environment for children
- Monitor the students’ academic progress, supervise exams and tests across all extracurricular subjects
- Monitor that classroom routines are followed across all age groups
- Ensure that the curriculum is well-balanced between English language and subject learning
- Guide teachers in the choice of study materials for lessons. Ensue that that library of the School is systematically developed to help teachers provide unique study experience
- Build a team of teachers with strong values and ethos
- Participate at recruitment of English-speaking teachers for academic year 2018-2019
- Monitor, report and resolve Health and Safety issues
- Be a member of the leadership team and report to the Principal of the School
The Successful Candidate
The following characteristics of the Educational Team Leader are particularly important:
- A leader and self-starter, well-organised, energetic, team-oriented and dynamiс
- Demonstrates a deep understanding in dual-language education and has an experience in preparing non-native English speakers for British curriculum
- A keen interest in understanding different educational paradigms and ability to synthesize different approaches and methodologies
- Exemplary communication skills
- A willingness to make a minimum of a two-year commitment to the position
- Passionate about building engaging, collaborative and innovative learning environment and programmes
- The ability to speak Russian is a plus, but is not a requirement
Minimum requirements
· Higher education, PGCE and EFL qualifications
· 5+ years experience at a senior leadership role
· Founder Head or educational start-up experience
· Qualified Teacher Status holder
· Thorough understanding of the British curriculum
· Experience of working internationally

About Evgeny Primakov School
Evgeny Primakov School was launched in Moscow in September 2017. Our school welcomed 700 gifted and talented students from 3 years of age to 17 years of age. About the academic program
Students at Evgeny Primakov Gymnasium will study subjects in both Russian and English languages. These subjects will be taught by professional Primary and Secondary teachers, experienced in teaching non-native students in an international setting. The goal of the academic year 2021-2022 is to continue developing fluency in English (that is why ESL will be taught across all age groups throughout the year) and to introduce students to the best practices of hands-on and practical learning.
