At the ISE, we believe that ICT should underpin the transformation of education through promoting opportunities for

The technology coordinator leads the curriculum teams for technology and provides the leadership and expertise

necessary to develop a whole school approach to Information and Communication Technology (ICT), ensuring continuity

and progression in the curriculum.

The technology coordinator ensures that the technology curriculum is aligned with the mission and vision of the school

and is an integral part of the learning programme.

The technology coordinator contributes to the preparation and development of educational policy as well as the

coordination and systematic development of information processes and technology.

The technology coordinator empowers students to become independent, confident and responsible users of ICT tools.

The technology coordinator collaborates with the curriculum teams for technology and teachers, to design and implement

lessons to ensure all students receive a rich ICT experience that includes technology for creation.

The educational technology coordinator executes the educational process by:

  • Working collaboratively with the heads of school, leaders for learning, ICT curriculum teams, teachers and technical staff to implement the whole school ICT plan.
  • Assisting in the infusion of technology across the curriculum in all subject areas to engage students and improve learning.
  • Evaluating, promoting and using emerging technologies to support teaching and learning, and supplement school resources.
  • Developing new technological initiatives throughout the school.
  • Remaining up-to-date with professional practices and developments, information technologies and
  • educational research applicable to ICT programmes.
  • Maximising the use of ICT in developing and maintaining links between the local and global community,
  • including parents.
  • Sharing expertise by giving presentations to staff, students and parents.
  • The ISE provides a caring and challenging learning environment which fosters international mindedness. We educate and inspire our students to
  • become creative, resilient and responsible citizens who will thrive and be happy in an ever changing world.

Requirements:

The technology coordinator is required to have the following qualifications, experience and

skills:

  • A highly skilled educator with an educational background.
  • A relevant qualification
  • Extensive experience in and knowledge of information and communication technology.
  • Experience in an educational setting, preferably within an international school.
  • Competency in organising, planning and managing educational events and activities.
  • Competency in maintaining professional relationships and managing conflict.
  • A skillful communicator both orally and in writing in English, being multilingual would be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • An understanding and knowledge of different cultural backgrounds.
  • A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.

  • A full time appointment for the school year 2021-22 (with the possibility to extend the appointment into a
  • permanent position);
  • Grading scale takes place in LC (min. € 2.840 – max. € 5.012)
  • Good benefits such as 7.4% end of year bonus
