The Technology Faculty is entering an exciting time of expansion with growing numbers, new curriculum opportunities and a brand new, state of the art ‘Advanced Technology’ build. To ensure we can meet the demands of these exciting challenges we are looking to recruit a number of new skilled and enthusiastic staff to join our existing teams.
The Engineering team are building up the engineering curriculum offer in preparation for a move to the new Advanced Technology build which is due for completion in September 17. They will have state of the art facilities replicating flow processing and cluster working methods providing learners with a real-life working environment giving them the experience of taking a product through a full cycle: research and design, manufacture, testing and supply.
Eastleigh College is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic electrical/electronic engineer to join the Technology division and teach within Engineering. This is an exciting time for the team with the new Advanced Technology build; the role will include developing the workshop in the new build to meet industry standard.
This post requires someone who can teach mathematics up to Level 4 HNC/HND requirements and have knowledge/experience of electrical/electronic engineering. This role will require excellent communication and organisational skills, coupled with excellent engineering industry experience to develop the potential of students within the area. We would welcome applications from graduates with the relevant industry experience.
You will teach students in the 16-19 age group who are undertaking full-time vocational courses and apprenticeships as well as part-time 19+ students who are looking to develop their skills.
We are looking for a lecturer with a teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent), however full training can be offered to achieve qualified teacher status for the right individual wishing to enter the teaching profession.
