About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with demonstrated industry experience and a drive to make a real difference in shaping the next generation of electricians. Applicants must hold a Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations, or equivalent.
While previous teaching experience and/or a recognised teaching qualification is desirable, we welcome applicants with a passion for the electrical industry and a commitment to fostering the growth of future professionals.
For applicants applying from industry background, we offer the opportunity to complete a Level 3 Award in Education and Training with an assigned mentor and dedicated support team.
About the role
We are seeking a well-qualified individual to join our team as a Lecturer. In this position, you will use your professional expertise to deliver high-quality teaching across teaching on our electrical programmes up to level 3 catering to 16–18-year-old learners, apprentices, and adult groups.
Your responsibilities will encompass the entire educational spectrum, including
- Planning and preparation,
- Marking (along with other forms of assessment),
- Day-to-day communication with students to offer guidance and support,
- Administration tasks such as admissions, enrolment, registration, and Attendance tracking

About Hugh Baird College
The College is situated in metropolitan Borough of Sefton, at the heart of a very busy commercial and regeneration area.
We deliver courses across an extensive range of provisions, from apprenticeships, to T-levels, A-levels, university level courses and adult learning, with dedicated campuses and employment-focused results.
