Full Time 37.5 hours per week, all year round, with 30 minute Lunch. Monday to Friday - 8:00 - 16:30.

Annual Salary Range from £32,000 to £36,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Working across sites at the group’s schools in Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Reading and the South West.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Working within the newly formed central minor works team, the role will undertake both responsive and planned electrical maintenance to a very high standard, at the group’s schools in Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Reading. The role may also occasionally involve some general maintenance support.

Salary

Salary is dependent on experience but expected to be in the range of £32,000-£36,000 per annum

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • 17TH or 18TH Edition Wiring Regulations Certified
  • 2391 Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing
  • Experience of Small Commercial and Domestic Installations.
  • IT Experience including excel.
  • Clean driving licence.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Planned refurbishment
  • Preventative and planned maintenance
  • Assisting with design, planning, layout, and installation.
  • All aspects of 1st, 2nd fix installation
  • Minor works testing and certification
  • Re-wiring to include distribution upgrades
  • Assisting with planning and co-ordinating Electrical Installation Condition Inspections
  • Undertake Electrical Installation Condition Reporting including remedial works.
  • Ability to plan out the electrical aspects of minor works projects.
  • Obtaining quotations to assist with budget management
  • Utilising supply chain to obtain best value and place orders
  • Completing electrical repair work as necessary.
  • Undertaking Portable Appliance Testing when appropriate
  • To work with regard to Health and Safety at all times wearing correct PPE when appropriate
  • To comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act and all relevant group policies.
  • To keep the Group Head of Estates aware of progress and problems in a timely manner.
