Makuhari International School is a unique dual-language school (English and Japanese) delivering programmes for K1-G6 (Nursery to Year 7). Situated just 30 minutes by train from the centre of Tokyo, the award-winning MIS campus enjoys outstanding facilities and excellent resources. The curriculum model, based on the Japanese National Curriculum, but modified where appropriate, allows children to transfer to local junior high schools as well as other international schools. MIS opened its doors in 2009 and currently has 385 children on roll. MIS achieved fully accredited status with CIS in April 2017.
An opportunity exists to join a team of dedicated professionals. MIS is seeking candidates who are committed and enthusiastic, with at least two years’ recent experience and possess QTS or a teacher license issued by a government educational agency for the 6-12 age-range and able to bring a range of teaching methodologies and differentiation consistent with current best practice. The ideal candidate would also possess leadership experience.
