The American Creativity Academy (ACA) is a private school in Kuwait that was founded in 1997 as a primary year’s school, which delivers a standards-based American curriculum, pre-K through grade 12, within an environment in which Islamic values are respected and practiced.

General responsibilities

  • Provide direct instruction and supervision to and for students in the school
  • Work to instil skills that will allow children to progress academically within the scope of the curriculum as well as providing strategies that allow children to apply appropriate problem-solving skills to their lives
  • Contracted teacher load is 26 periods per week, averaging two preparation periods per teaching day.

 

Requirements

  • For elementary teachers you must have Bachelor's degree in Education
  • Native-level English speakers (or equivalent proficiency).

The American Creativity Academy is a co-educational independent all-through school. It is based in Safat in Kuwait.

The American Creativity Academy  was founded in 1997 by a group of people who wanted to establish a school in Kuwait which offered a unique blend of an American curriculum while respecting and practicing local values. The school is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools and by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. It was also authorised to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in 2008. The school’s student population is 100% English language learners and the majority of students were born in Kuwait. Most students at the school are Arab nationals and Arabic is their first spoken language. The school community consists of over 3,500 students and 350 staff members. The American Creativity Academy operates on two separate campuses minutes apart by car.
