Emotional Literacy Support Assistant

Salary: TSAT Pay Group 3 £20,042 - £23,713 for hours and weeks stated (FTE £22,818- £26,997)

Hours per week: 37 hour per week, 39 weeks per year (Term Time plus 5 INSET days)


We are recruiting an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant to support us with our responsibility for the development and education of children within our vibrant and engaging state of the art mixed academy. The successful candidate will support pupils with physical, emotional and/or educational needs in accordance with academy policy and under the direction of the Inclusion Manager/SENCO. There may also be a requirement to work with pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans or additional educational needs throughout the Key Stages. 

 

Experience of working with primary or secondary aged children with the ability to raise aspirations to ensure the best possible outcomes will be beneficial, as will the ability to motivate children, have a passion to make a positive outcome for the children and have high expectations of children’s emotional, social and mental health development. Excellent interpersonal skills together with good knowledge of ICT would be essential.  An ELSA Qualification would be desirable, or the willingness to undertake training.
