Kings Avenue School is seeking to recruit an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) to join our improving school.  We offer excellent CPD and training in up to date current strategies for teaching.

We are looking for an ELSA with:

  • Experience in providing assistance in education. 
  • Experience of working with children with special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Experience in working across early years, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. 
  • Basic IT skills. 
  • Ability to plan and prioritise individual workload. 
  • Ability to clarify and explain instructions to children. 
  • Ability to motivate and engage children. 
  • Experience in organising learning activities and the learning environment alongside a class teacher. 
  • Ability to take on routine tasks under the direction of the class teacher and/or inclusion leads. 
  • Ability to maintain records on children. 
  • Experience of delivering interventions linked to emotional literacy.
