This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, professional individual qualified in an appropriate discipline to join a forward thinking College to deliver large volumes of qualifications in the work place e.g. Apprenticeships and NVQs, you will lead and oversee curriculum planning and activity for the related programmes.

You will work closely with the Employer Engagement Manager: Work Related Training- to plan, monitor, manage and evaluate the offer. The primary focus will be on work based learning for Engineering.

The ideal candidate will have industry experience, relevant teaching/training qualification and experience, together with experience of leading and supporting colleagues delivering Apprenticeship Frameworks and NVQs.

This post carries a caseload between 20 and 25 (depending on framework) learners and will include observations of teaching (and possibly mentoring) as agreed with Employer Engagement Manager. The role will be based at the Engineering Innovation Centre – Oddicroft Lane.

In the absence of the Employer Engagement Manager or assessors you will be required to undertake line management responsibilities and additional assessment site visits to support learners and employers along with the team.

Vision West Nottinghamshire College is a mixed, non-denominational further education college in Nottinghamshire serving students from the age of 16 and above. The college has approximately 1,200  full and part-time students attending every year. The college has six sites based in Ashfield and Mansfield. 

Vision West Nottinghamshire College was established as a Technical College in 1928. It was renamed Vision West Nottinghamshire College in 2011. Facilities across the campuses include an engineering innovation centre, art and design centre, sports hall, a hair and beauty training salon and a training restaurant for catering and hospitality students to train in.
