Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join Mencap’s Lifestyles & Work Team. We are currently recruiting for an Employer Relationship Manager on a 9 month fixed term contract as maternity cover. 

The Employer Relationship Manager will work with employers and our staff across England to create employment opportunities for people with a learning disability, learning difficulty or autism. The role involves partnership working, strategic planning, data capturing and reporting as well as supporting, training and coaching members of the delivery team.

This role will close on Sunday 5th June. We will be hosting a 'Meet the Manager' session on Thursday 9th June followed by interviews from 15th June. To see what the manager says about this role please click here 

The post holder will be home-based but will be expected to travel to meet employers and meet our teams at regional offices. The role includes management of the Career’s Leader so experience and knowledge of Careers Education, Information Advice and Guidance as well as Ofsted is needed.

Key Skills for the Employer Relationship Manager

 To develop and maintain key strategic relationships with employers

To drive high quality data collection across teams so that the that information required by the ESFA, Ofsted and Mencap is     collated reported accurately to inform strategic decisions and manage risk

To be able to deliver high quality awareness sessions and support employers to develop an understanding of to employ people with a learning disability

To act as an ambassador for Mencap at all times

To be able to use a range of tools to capture data and to create plans for future work
