Job overview

Do you want to work in our sector-leading Faculty of Engineering, Automotive and Aerospace, a £12 million facility that delivers training in all aspects of Engineering that includes a new £3 million extension with outstanding resources for advanced manufacturing, industrial robotics. There has recently been a large investment in electrical engineering with a dedicated electronics laboratory and aviation training with Jetstream aircraft, engines, landing gear and flight surfaces based at our Future Skills Centre near Exeter Airport.

We have exceptional employer partnerships throughout Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and nationally who provide development opportunities for staff and are integral to our curriculum development.

Our curriculum offer constantly grows and evolves, in September we grew our Engineering offer to deliver T Levels in manufacturing, and maintenance of light and electric vehicles, Health and Safety management apprenticeships with future developments planned in aviation and telecommunications for 2023.

We have some exceptional opportunities to join our Engineering and Aerospace teams to teach 16-18 full time engineers through to aviation Foundation Degree and CAA B Licence.

If you are an experienced teacher or assessor, a newly qualified teacher or assessor or have a background in industry and are looking to make the move into education, we would be really interested to hear from you.

We are particularly keen to invite candidates who have a background in aviation and hold a B licence, electrical or mechanical engineering.

We offer these fantastic opportunities:

Programme Leader (teacher) – salary range £23,520 - £38,840 per annum

Work based teacher/assessor – salary range £23,520 - £30,346 per annum

The ability to teach the CAA B licence with attracts an additional market forces payment of £6,000 per annum (reviewed at the end of each academic year)
