Responsibilities

  • Work alongside experienced engineers to develop practical skills.
  • Gain experience in areas such as mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Assist with the maintenance, repair, and installation of engineering systems.
  • Learn to use industry-standard tools and equipment.
  • Complete on-the-job training and attend college to work towards a Level 3 Engineering qualification.
  • Provide full technical support to the Engineering team and facilitate the learning and development of students.
  • Prepare materials as directed by tutors and check tools and equipment for safe working conditions.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy workshop and assist with stock management.
  • Assist in administrative procedures, including enrolment processes.
  • Ensure effective communication with management, staff, students, and clients.
  • Undertake in-service training and work towards a Level 3 apprenticeship standard.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a passion for engineering and problem-solving to join our apprenticeship programme. If you have GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in Maths, English, and Science, enjoy hands-on, practical work, and are eager to learn, we’d love to hear from you. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with a commitment to completing the programme. You’ll also have the opportunity to gain additional certifications, such as First Aid and Manual Handling, to support your development.

It has two state of the art campuses in West Bromwich accessible through excellent transport links and, following a successful merger with Cadbury Sixth Form College, has an exciting presence in Birmingham.
