Do you want to be part of something really exciting? Our EDT (Engineering, Design and Technology) department is changing; we’re moving towards real engineering and design (melding engineering, physics, maths and programmable electronics) where we encourage our students to push boundaries and develop high level design and programming skills that will allow them to create innovative working outcomes, be that physical or digital.
We’re matching this with a new building that will allow a physical remodelling of the EDT department in time for September 2019 as well as bringing it much closer to art and design, computer science, maths and physics. The physical proximity of these subjects reflects our firm belief that all contribute to developing students’ design and engineering skills.
If this appeals to your thinking and outlook, then we’d like to hear from you. We’d expect you to have a good degree in an engineering or electronics-based discipline, with or without a PGCE. Either way, we need you to be sparky and enthusiastic, an innovator yourself with real passion and with the desire to inspire children.
Our school is a dynamic place where we encourage everyone to take risks with their teaching and learning. We really like people who are willing to contribute to our extra-curricular programme. We have our own generous salary scale and will provide suitable induction and training, whether you’re new to the profession or more experienced.
