English and literature teacher - Secondary school

For the 2024-2025 academic year, IFS Amsterdam is looking to hire teachers who are interested in working in a bilingual French/English setting for a secondary (middle and high school) English teacher position:

Secondary English Teacher - 6th to 12th grades

We are looking for teachers who:

• have a MA in English or higher
• have at least 2 years of experience teaching English in grades 6-12
• have strong writing and speaking skills
• have experience teaching English literature
• are capable of collaborating and exchanging on curriculum and teaching practices
• are open to new educational approaches
• enjoy collaborating on curriculum and project-based learning
• are adaptable, flexible and willing to teach different grades through Middle School and High School
• have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
