NJC 6-10 (£13,357 - £14,458), 30 hours per week, 39 working weeks (term time plus 5 non-student days)
Or for Qualified Teachers: MPR1-MPR5 (£9,488 - £12,850), 2 days / 0.4 FTE
Maltings Academy and New Rickstones Academy in Witham, Essex are graded ‘Outstanding’ and ‘Good’ by Ofsted respectively. Both have a state of the art new building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff. Staff receive discounted membership at Witham Leisure Centre.
We are looking for an inspirational Maths Tutor to deliver intervention support to students to support raising attainment in Maths and/or English. With a minimum Level 3 Maths/English qualification, you will be able to demonstrate the talent and interpersonal skills and a range of teaching strategies. Above all, you must have a passion for the subject/s and be able to inspire and motivate our students.
This is an exciting opportunity for applicants who have a degree (or are studying for a degree), as you would gain experience to potentially develop a career within teaching. A number of our support staff have progressed to our School Direct Teacher Training programme. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 0830-1500, term time plus five non-student days.
Alternatively, this role is available for a qualified teacher (contracted under School Teachers Terms & Conditions) up to a maximum of 2 days / 0.4 FTE, with salary to a maximum of MPR5.
This position is initially based at New Rickstones Academy. However, as we work closely with our sister academy, Maltings Academy (also in Witham), all contracts are to work across both academies.
This is a fixed term post (dependent on continuous Pupil Premium funding) and is required to commence in September 2019.
