Who We Are

HD Beijing is a fast-growing, forward-thinking bilingual school redefining what international education can look like in China. Established in 2017, our school is located in Dongba, Chaoyang District—one of Beijing’s most dynamic international neighbourhoods, known for its excellent lifestyle amenities, green spaces, and vibrant expatriate community.

As a proud member of the HD Schools network, serving over 8,000 students across Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao, and Nanjing, HD Beijing benefits from the strength, stability, and shared expertise of a well-established education group—while retaining the agility and innovation of a young, ambitious campus.

Our Educational Promise

At HD Beijing, we are driven by a clear and compelling mission: cultivating globally-fluent Chinese who Lead, Innovate, and Impact — and we define our distinct positioning as "Holistic, Personalised, and Future-ready Education".

Our dual-immersion bilingual curriculum seamlessly blends the richness of Chinese cultural heritage with international best practices in teaching and learning. Academic rigour sits alongside creativity, inquiry, collaboration, and well-being, creating a joyful and engaging learning experience for every student.

A wide range of co-curricular and enrichment programmes further extends learning beyond the classroom, ensuring students are challenged, inspired, and supported to reach their full potential.

Our Campuses & Community

HD Beijing operates across two modern, purpose-built campuses, educating approximately 1,200 students from Early Years to Grade 12. Our faculty represents a truly international partnership, with 40% international educators working alongside 60% highly experienced Chinese colleagues. This balance creates a rich professional environment where collaboration, cultural exchange, and shared learning are part of everyday life.

We pride ourselves on a supportive and professional school culture, where educators are trusted, valued, and encouraged to innovate. Strong leadership, clear systems, and a commitment to professional growth allow teachers to focus on what matters most—high-quality teaching and meaningful relationships with students.

A School on an Exciting Journey

In 2024, HD Beijing will launch its U.S. four-year high school programme, including Advanced Placement (AP) pathways. This marks a significant step in our strategic growth and reflects our commitment to personalised, holistic education that prepares students for top universities worldwide—well beyond traditional exam-centric models.

Joining HD Beijing means joining a school on the rise—a place where your ideas matter, your expertise is recognised, and your professional growth is actively supported. You will be part of a vibrant, international community in one of Asia’s most exciting capital cities, contributing to a mission that truly bridges cultures and shapes the future.
