We are now looking for a passionate and enthusiastic English Tutor to work at Maiden Erlegh School in Reading. You will be working as part of a dedicated team of English teachers and subject leaders with a vision to improve outcomes for vulnerable students. This would involve delivering intervention sessions with small groups of students who may have fallen behind.

The successful applicant will be energetic and enthusiastic and enjoy working with 11-16 year-olds. You will enjoy nurturing young people to grow in confidence and flourish personally. You will share our inclusive values of “opportunity, diversity and success for all” and you will have a willingness to develop your own practice in line with our ethos of continuous improvement.

About Maiden Erlegh School in Reading

In January 2014, a bid from Maiden Erlegh Trust to the Department for Education to open a new school in the East Reading area was successful. The central proposition of the bid was to open a new school that shared the ethos, culture and values of the well-established Maiden Erlegh School in Earley, Reading, Berkshire.

We proudly opened Maiden Erlegh School in Reading to its first Year 7 students in September 2015.
