English Language and Literature Teacher - High School - Immediate start

Collegio San Carlo was the first school in Italy to offer the bilingual italian recognised 4 year High School program   LII - Liceo Internazionale per l'Intercultura . 

Collegio San Carlo offers 5 different streams of High school and our  Intercultural Program runs through from K - Yr 13 so most of our  students study about 50% of their subjects in English  on the basis of the Italian National Curriculum . 

We are seeking an English Language and Literature Teacher for a Meternity leave for this academic year, 

The following qualifications, experience and skills are required:

• At least 4 years of teaching English  at High School level School . Our ideal candidate has worked both in International and Italian schools
• BA in Education and/or MA in English and English Literature 
• Recognised Teaching Qualification (PGCE or similar). Ideal candidate has valid teaching qualifications for the Italian School system
• To be  an excellent team worker ; collegiality is one of our core educational values
• Fluent English Speaker or ideally bilingual Italian/English 
• Knowledge of italian to a C1 level 
• Must  hold an EU passport or valid working papers for Italy 
• Availability to start immediately 

Preliminary interviews will be conduceted via Skype or Teams even for local candidates. Only short-listed candidates will be invited to come for a second interview to school due to COVID restrictions
