We are looking to recruit an English Literacy Specialist Teacher (Maternity Cover) who has a passion to inspire and who will do whatever it takes to achieve success.
Ideal candidates will:
- be an outstanding teacher, with a resilient character and a strong personal drive
- understand the difference that a great education can make to pupils - especially to those from disadvantaged backgrounds
- have achieved high rates of progress and attainment in your current school
- exude a passion for the subject which is evident in your day to day classroom practice
- be a ‘learner’ and reflective practitioner.
In this role, you will:

- be part of the Ark network, with school based and network wide CPD, masters, bursaries, rewards scheme.
Ark Bentworth, Ark Swift and Ark Conway Academy make up the West London Primary cluster and are in close proximity of each other. Strong candidates will also be considered for opportunities within these schools.

We provide our staff with the tools and support to instil a strong learning culture in their classrooms. In order to deliver the best training and network events, we offer twice as many training days as standard. Curriculum
We are committed to providing significant curriculum for pupils to master basic skills in English and mathematics from an early age. Ark Bentworth has an adapted version of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum, and has comprehensive curriculum maps to ensure that we cover all the statutory requirements during your child’s time with us. All children will also participate in the Ark schools arts programme. Every child at Ark Bentworth will have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument and some pupils may wish to take up individual one-to-one music tuition.
