Salary: according to qualifications and experience but within the Unqualified Teachers Pay Range 1-6 and the Teachers Main Pay Range 1 – 6

Fixed term/ Part time: until 31st August 2022

The Stonehenge school is looking to appoint two enthusiastic and inspirational Academic Tutors to deliver small group academic tutoring. The purpose of the role is to support pupils from years 7-11 who are still impacted by the effects of the disruption caused to education.

The role will involve the planning and delivery of academic intervention in English and Maths with the support of our English and Maths departments. Duties to include:

  • Liaison with the English/Maths department to ensure activities support and address gaps in learning
  • To teach small groups of students according to their academic need.
  • Feedback to students and Department Heads on progress being made
  • Record keeping of attendance

This is an excellent  opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven professional ; either a recent post graduate considering a career move into teaching, or a retired teacher willing to support our students with the wealth of their experience, or even existing tutors wanting to work closely with our school.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent skills in the area they are interested in tutoring. Furthermore you should possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our most disadvantaged students.

Both positions are fixed term and part time with flexibility surrounding hours. 

The positions can be combined for a suitably qualified tutor.
