Job overview

The ability to teach Religious Education will be an advantage and it is essential that the teacher is able to teach at least two subjects.

We are seeking a teacher with two or more of the following subject areas:

• Science – Biology, STEM, Middle Years Science and Mathematics
• Design Technology – Industrial Technology Design, Engineering
• Religious Education – Study of Religion / Religion and Ethics and Middle Years Religious Education
• Languages - Italian (Middle Years)
• Social Science – History / Geography (Middle Years / Senior Years)
• Business (Middle Years / Senior Years)
• Mathematics – Specialist Mathematics, General Mathematics and Middle Years Mathematics
• English – Middle Years and Senior Years
• Performing Arts – Drama

The teacher must be prepared to work in a collaborative P – 12 context and be willing to participate in full P – 12 College events and practices. The successful candidate will be flexible and forward thinking in their approach to classrooms and fully conversant with current best practice in learning and teaching ie: demonstrated knowledge and application of the model of pedagogy used in their school and an understanding of the BCE Model of Pedagogy.

To be successful in this role you will: 

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Estimated Start Date:   Commencing January 2021

 Employment Tenure:    Full Time + Fixed Term and Continuing positions available

 Tenure Duration (if "Fixed Term"):   Continuing + Fixed Term positions for 2021 school year

 If Part Time, hours and/or days required:  

 Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019 

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
