The Trustees are seeking to appoint an English Support Mentor who will undertake intervention with (mainly KS4) individual students and small groups, together with delivering teaching and support programmes for identified students. The successful candidate will be working under the guidance of the English Department/SENDCo to plan, deliver and evaluate high quality sessions aimed at students working on a range of activities. Subsequent feedback to colleagues will showcase your impact on achievement and progress. This role requires a candidate who is confident working individually, with an ability to identify and target those students who would benefit from additional support. You will also be a flexible team player as part of the role will involve occasionally supervising whole classes in the short-term absence of a teacher and supporting with after-school revision sessions.  

The successful applicant will haveeither A-level English Language and /or Literature with QTS OR a degree in English and will bejoining a fantastic English department who aim tocreate a nurturing environment within which every student can reach their full potential.We believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve great things as we develop innovative teaching and learning strategies. You will establish productive working relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
