Job overview

It is an exciting time at Becket Keys Church of England School (Outstanding, 2014). We are working hard to build upon the exceptional GCSE successes of our three founding cohorts as we aim even higher in 2020. We have also been establishing our new Sixth Form into its third year. Our heavily over-subscribed school is the ideal place to take your next steps in teaching.

As part of our growth plan, we are now seeking a successful and capable teacher to join our ambitious, successful and hard-working English team in a leadership role. If you can support the department in continuing to deliver rigorous English teaching that suits the demands of the new GCSE, we want to hear from you. You must be passionate about enhancing standards in both Language and Literature exams by supporting the development of a rigorous and demanding curriculum, which leads to rapid progress for all students regardless of starting point. Experience of gaining good results in A level Literature would be most welcome, though this is not a prerequisite for the post; the role will be shaped to the particular strengths and interests of the successful applicant.

The appointee will be committed to our high expectations and core values –  we welcome applications from teachers irrespective of their faith or lack of it.  However, we ask for applicants to appreciate and respect the beliefs of others and have strong moral principles.
