As a qualified teacher, you will have significant experience of teaching the UK National Curriculum at Key Stage 3, 4 & 5. You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of teaching and experience of iGCSE is desirable. We offer English Literature & Language at both KS4 & KS5. We have two teaching positions available as we expand the provision of our curriculum. The ability to offer iGCSE Drama will be an advantage for one of these positions.
You will be an excellent communicator and confident with your subject knowledge and craft, and be someone who gets on well with colleagues, students and parents. You will be well organised, have a good sense of humour and will want to participate fully in the extra-curricular aspects of school life as well as the classroom. You won’t be afraid of hard work and will be relentlessly focused on giving our students opportunities for success both in and beyond the classroom. Experience of, or an interest in, developing English as an extracurricular activity would be an advantage, or you will have something unique in your tool kit that will light the fires in the bellies of our young students.
