Gore High School, located in Southland is seeking an exceptional English teacher with experience at senior levels, to take on the position of Assistant Head of Department from January 2018. This permanent role will have additional responsibilities as the successful applicant will be acting Head of Department (fixed term for 2018), then revert to an Assistant HoD.
The school has a boarding facility to cater for those students from further afield. With a roll of around 500 students, the school is large enough to provide a wide curriculum, including a thriving English department, while having the ability to know each student.

Gore is a small, friendly, rural New Zealand town of around 10,000 people and close proximity to many beautiful South Island attractions. A day trip to Dunedin, Invercargill and weekends at the ski-fields around Queenstown are only a couple of hours drive away.
