Darwen Vale High School is an Aldridge Academy and as such, part of the national multi academy trust. At a more local level we are part of the North West Cluster of schools that includes 3 other secondary schools and 1 primary school.
Darwen Vale High School achieved unprecedented success in their 2019 examination results. Students performed at levels above national averages in many subjects with outstanding performances in English and Mathematics. Our Progress 8 score increased by 0.42, this means that every student’s performance in the 2018-2019 cohort has increased by almost half a grade in each subject compared to 2017-2018 results.
As our numbers grow, we need an inspirational Teacher of English to deliver high quality lessons to pupils across years 7 -11. There is the opportunity to teach A Level or primary at our partner schools within the cluster.
Applications are welcome from both NQTs and experienced teachers. TLR negotiable depending on experience and skill set of the successful applicant.
