The Chalfonts Independent Grammar School is a small, independent International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, authorised to offer the IB Middle Years Programme (IGCSE equivalent) and IB Diploma Programme (A Level equivalent). We are based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, with excellent transport links to London, Oxford and the surrounding areas. High Wycombe train station is under 5 minutes’ walk away and the M40 Junction 4, is a few minutes’ drive.

We are focused on facilitating a meaningful education which is based on high achievement and inquiry-based learning. The school consists of small classes with a maximum of 14 students and has a genuinely family atmosphere. Our IB programmes provide each student with opportunities to explore, inquire and develop confidence, as well as equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary for further education and the working world.

The school is part of the Alpha Schools Group, which is a network of premium schools offering best practice and professional development opportunities for teachers.

The Position:

Due to the recent growth school numbers, we are seeking Full Time and/or Part Time English teacher(s) to teach years 7-13. There is flexibility in working hours/days and there are opportunities for additional roles of responsibility for the right candidate. This post is suitable for either an experienced teacher or NQT and the school is supportive of flexible working arrangements. Experience of the International Baccalaureate is desirable, but not essential, as we will provide training for the newly appointed staff member. You should be a passionate, inspirational teacher who is able to work independently and liaise effectively with colleagues.
