We seek to recruit a highly-competent teacher of English Language and Literature to join our successful Secondary English Department. Alongside evident subject expertise, applicants ought to be confident in their use of technology in the classroom and have a sound understanding of how the study of Language and Literature can help to advance critical thinking and independent learning skills. The successful applicant will be able to teach both English Literature and English Language to IGCSE Level (CIE); experience teaching A Level Literature and/or IBDP Language A English would be an advantage also. We seek a teacher of English who can support students in developing their understanding of relevant content and skills, as well as foster a genuine love for the subject by facilitating excellent teaching and learning opportunities in the classroom and Learning Media Centre. Candidates should be energetic, adaptable, enthusiastic classroom leaders with a draw to an active school life in a vibrantly changing, exciting city.
