English Teacher

Grateley House School is a successful residential special school for young people with a diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome and/or associated disorders. We also have a house in Salisbury for our Sixth Form students.

Job Role

We offer an extensive curriculum to our students and currently require an enthusiastic and committed teacher. You will take the lead for English across the whole school.

You will have a flexible, creative and practical approach to learning and be responsible for developing individualised / small group programs. Class sizes are no more than 7 students, with dedicated TA support. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Candidate Profile

A good knowledge of the English National Curriculum, experience teaching up to GCSE level is essential. An understanding of the Autistic Spectrum Condition and/or experience of working with children/young people with additional needs is an advantage.
