We are looking for a well-qualified, enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational English Teacher who has the highest expectations of themselves and our pupils.
If you provide high-quality teaching and have a natural passion for improving the life chances of our children then this is the role for you.
About the Role
We wish to recruit someone who shares our vision that all pupils should leave with the skills to be able to express themselves creatively and imaginatively, and to communicate with others confidently and effectively. As a Teacher of English, you will be expected to ensure, through effective teaching and learning, that all pupils are equipped to use and apply key literacy skills.
We are happy to consider flexible working opportunities.
We are looking for someone who:
- is experienced in teaching English Literature and English Language up to and including KS4
- is passionate about English and about helping all pupils succeed despite their background
- has high professional standards
- is committed to raising the achievement of all learners by ensuring teaching across the curriculum is of the highest quality
- is able to make positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents alike
- is able to plan and deliver innovative and inspirational lessons that engage pupils
- has experience of teaching KS5 (an advantage but not essential)
We are making substantial improvements in all areas and we are investing heavily in our staffing structure to continue this momentum. We are a supportive team, committed to ensuring that our learners fulfil their potential despite any barriers they may face, and we are looking for equally passionate practitioners to us.
It is our goal to equip young people with the qualifications, skills and characteristics that will help them to achieve their aspirations. Our motto, ‘Be Inspired’, is demonstrated throughout our curriculum.
Located on the outskirts of Northampton, we are situated in a great part of the country. Northampton has a £20billion economy and sits at the heart of one of four designated Growth Areas in England, with big plans for housing and the economy. With plenty of countryside on the doorstep it’s surprising that it’s only an hour away from London.
