English teacher required for a mixed PRU facility in Wakefield.

Vision for Education is currently looking for an English teacher to join a small team in a mixed alternative provision based in Wakefield. This provision is based across 2 sites, one of which caters for students aged 5 – 19 with complex needs, mainly SEMH however, students pay present multiple other needs such as Autism, PMLD, Development Delay, ODD, OCD, SLD. The second site caters for mixed students aged 11 – 19 with SEMH.

Most students are no longer in Mainstream Schools and accordingly lessons will need to be tailored to the diverse array of student needs. The successful candidate will have the Skills and motivation to gain the students trust in order for them to further their knowledge in Science.

The ideal candidate must –

  • Have UK QTS with a degree in English
  • Team teach is essential
  • Experience in a similar setting 
  • Have a background working with children with challenging behaviour.
