Grey Court is a successful and oversubscribed academy serving a diverse community in an outstanding environment, situated in the London Borough of Richmond, in close proximity to the Thames. The school opened its sixth form in September 2014 and is now a National Teaching School.  In January 2018, the school received its second ‘outstanding’ grading.

We are seeking to appoint a qualified and innovative teacher of English who will inspire our young people, promote a personal passion for English and ensure that all students excel in this subject area. 

The right candidate will: 

• be, or demonstrate the potential to be, an exceptional classroom practitioner

• have a clear passion for their area; supported by sound subject knowledge

• want the very best for all young people irrespective of background or challenge

• demonstrate an understanding of the importance of English across the curriculum 

• have the skills, drive and passion to deliver English across the curriculum.

The Faculty currently offers a wide range of opportunities at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. 

Results for both English Language and English Literature continue to exceed national level. We are an ambitious faculty with high aspirations for all our students. You must be committed to being a team member who will want to ensure that all students, at all academic levels, receive an outstanding experience in their English lessons. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to exceptionally high standards of classroom practice alongside a genuine regard for exceptional progress and quality care of all our young people.
