Hugh Christie School is a mixed all ability school in Tonbridge, Kent, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2017.

Due to an expansion of the curriculum for core subjects, we are excited to offer this opportunity for an inspirational and ambitious teacher of English to join our successful team as the 2nd in department. The appointed applicant will join a supportive team, working alongside a well-established and very successful English department. You will be passionate about English and have the drive to be part of a forward thinking department, focused on developing exciting and engaging learning experiences. 

This position would suit an aspiring teacher of English looking for an opportunity to develop their teaching and learning and leadership skill.

Specific responsibilities will include the development of the English curriculum at Key Stage Three and supporting the Assistant Principal for English in the day to day running of the department. 

The ability to teach A-Level English Literature is desirable, but not essential.

Salary: UPS (Negotiable) + TLR2
