English Teacher

We are recruiting for an English Teacher to join us from September 2024 on a fixed term basis for one year to cover Maternity Leave.

The Role

You will be required to teach the full English curriculum including Digital Media, and, develop the curriculum as required. English is a very successful and high achieving faculty with excellent results at GCSE and A-Level. As a Teacher of English, you will contribute to its continuing success at all key stages and increase the profile of the subject across the College and wider community. 

Adhering to all teaching standards, you will have an energetic passion and commitment for the subject and able to instill a love of learning by delivering inspirational and engaging lessons.  

As a Teacher at the Mount, you will make the safety, wellbeing and education of pupils your key concern. You will be accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct. Acting with honesty and integrity, you will have strong subject knowledge; keep your knowledge and skills as a Teacher up-to-date. You will forge positive professional relationships; and work with parents in the best interests of the pupils.
