English Teacher

Basic Requirements of the Program:

• Bachelor degree+ or above / a NFQ Lv. 7+ diploma
• Native-level speaker from the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, New    Zealand, and South Africa (or ones who own a passport from    one of those countries)
• Government issued teaching license
     U.S. - professional/provisional/substitute teaching license
     Canada - registered teacher in any province
     U.K. - QTS with induction passed
     Ireland - registered with the Teaching Council
     Australia - registered teacher in any state
     New Zealand - registered with Education Council
     South Africa - SACE

Contract Time: Aug. 1st, 2019 ~ Jul. 31st, 2020

• 18 New Taipei City public primary schools
• Working hours: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
• Max Teaching Periods Per Week: 22 classes
• Location: New Taipei City, Taiwan
• Some positions require co-schools

Job Details:

• Base Salary:
          Bachelor Degree: US$ 2,050/month (NT$ 62,720)
          Master   Degree: US$ 2,280/month (NT$ 69,965)
          Doctoral Degree: US$ 2,380/month (NT$ 73,025)
• Housing allowance: US$ 165/month (NT$ 5,000)
          Spousal allowance: US$ 165/month (NT$ 5,000)
          (lmt'd to parents, spouse, and child)
• Airfare reimbursement: US$ 1,300 max./trip (NT$ 40,000)
          (arrival and departure)
• Year-end performance bonus:
          Bachelor Degree: US$ 2,050/month (NT$ 62,720)
          Master   Degree: US$ 2,280/month (NT$ 69,965)
          Doctoral Degree: US$ 2,380/month (NT$ 73,025)
• Seniority Bonus (overseas included)

Note: Seniority bonus includes overseas teaching experience in public schools and public/private schools in Taiwan.

Job Content:

• Work as an English teacher for various grades
• Teach collaboratively with the assigned local teacher
• Design and teach CLIL curriculum
• Create lesson plans, worksheets for summer/winter program
• Good personality and communication skills
• Participate in school workshops and activities
• Assist in proof-reading English materials
• No homework grading, no test making and grading.
