English Teacher

Smart Teachers is currently recruiting for a motivated and dedicated English Teacher to join an ‘Outstanding’ special school in Ealing, West London. The school caters for students aged between 5 and 18 years who have a range of needs including emotional, social, behavioural, and communication difficulties. Joining the school from January 2017, the successful English Teacher will be working on a full time long term basis with the potential to be offered a permanent role.

About the Role

• Vibrant and fully committed English Teacher
• Teaching pupils with ADHD, OCD, Asperger’s, Specific Learning Difficulties and Social Emotional Mental Health
• Teaching English up to KS5
• Starting January 2017 this is a long term full time post with the potential to go permanent
• Daily rate up to £150 per day (dependent on experience)

In order to be considered for this role, The English Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:

• Hold a Bachelor of Education/ PGCE, or an equivalent teaching degree
• Have proven UK teaching experience; minimum one term
• Have experience teaching students with special needs, particularly with Social Emotional Mental Healt
• Have strong behaviour management skills
• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
• Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
