The Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School is currently recruiting for a dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate Key Stage leader in English to join our welcoming and successful school and to take a key role within a high achieving department. We are looking to appoint a relatively experienced teacher who is motivated to teach engaging lessons that will stimulate and challenge students.  

The successful candidate will:

  • Either already have experience of leading a key stage or be looking for this kind of role as your next step.
  • Be able to take a leading role in the development and delivery of the Curriculum  within English, including leading areas of faculty training. 
  • Have expert knowledge both of the subject and of the specifications of the new Curriculum. 
  • Be a passionate, determined team player who is able to reflect on their own practise whilst helping to support the development of others. 
  • Be able to consistently plan and deliver effective and high quality lessons to all key stage groups, maximising student progress. 
  • Be a relatively experienced teacher who is enthusiastic, influential and committed to working in pursuit of success for the school academy and its learners.
  • You should also be able to interpret data and have a strategic understanding of using data for impact
