King Edward VI College, Stourbridge is a sixth form college and a member of the Heart of Mercia Trust.  The college specialises in the delivery of A levels for 16- to 19-year-olds, offering a broad curriculum with extensive enrichment opportunities. The college is a vibrant, inclusive community with over 2000 students from a variety of cultural and social backgrounds, all united in their enthusiasm for learning.

We require a part-time or full-time Equality Diversity Inclusion (EDI) Coordinator to promote EDI across the college with staff and students, to start as soon as possible.  

The EDI Coordinator will ensure EDI is a priority in all college operations through working with staff to disseminate good practice, highlight opportunities and identify areas of concern. They will also work with students to plan and facilitate regular events (including the annual college ‘Culture Day’) to foster high levels of awareness and celebration of the college’s diverse community. They will also oversee and liaise pro-actively with EDI-focused enrichment groups.

This role requires someone with a passion for equality, diversity and inclusion, who can work flexibly and proactively with a range of areas and teams, including but not limited to: heads of faculty; subject leaders, teachers, lead tutors, personal tutors, enrichment and welfare staff and outside agencies.

The College is fully committed to supporting all members of staff through staff development and in-service training.

This is a permanent, term-time only post subject to the conditions of service handbook of the Sixth Form Colleges Association. We are seeking 25 hours to full-time; the working hours will be agreed with the successful candidate.  Salary will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges Association support staff pay scale 21 - 25 which is currently £26,628.07 – £29,567.50 per annum for term-time only based on 37 hours per week.
