Job Summary:

The Math Teacher at Ruamrudee International School Phuket is responsible for delivering high-quality math education to elementary and middle school students. The teacher will create engaging, hands-on lessons to foster a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, assess student progress, and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the math curriculum. The role requires creating an inclusive and

positive learning environment, integrating technology to enhance lessons, and participating in professional development. Optional homeroom responsibilities include acting as the primary point of contact for students and parents, supporting students' social and emotional well-being, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive school community.

Teaching Load:

●The Math Teacher will be assigned a maximum of 25 teaching blocks per week.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Math Instruction:

●Develop and implement engaging and effective math lessons for elementary school students.

●Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.

2. Curriculum Development:

●Contribute to the development and enhancement of the math curriculum.

●Align lessons with curriculum standards and learning objectives.

3. Assessment:

●Design and administer assessments to evaluate students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

●Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

4. Classroom Management:

●Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

●Implement effective classroom management strategies.

5. Technology Integration:

●Integrate technology into math lessons to enhance learning experiences. Stay informed about educational technology trends.

6. Professional Development:

●Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

●Stay current with best practices in math education.

7. Homeroom Responsibilities (Optional, if selected):

●Act as the primary point of contact for homeroom students and their parents.

●Monitor and support the social and emotional well-being of homeroom students.

●Conduct regular homeroom meetings to address concerns and provide guidance.

●Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive school environment. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and provide updates on homeroom

Qualifications:

●Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
●Teaching certification/license.

●Previous experience teaching elementary math.

●Strong knowledge of elementary math curriculum standards.

●Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

●Technology proficiency.
