Estate Maintenance Assistant
The Beacon is a large and successful independent prep school for boys aged between 4 and 13, set in on a 16 acre site near Amersham, Buckinghamshire, some 30 minutes from London by train.
We are looking for someone to join our Facilities and Estates Team who is hardworking, passionate about high standards of workmanship, enjoys manual work and working in a busy and vibrant environment. A flexible, polite, cheerful and pro-active attitude is essential together with strong interpersonal skills as the role involves working as part of a team and helping staff, parents and visitors. Each day will be different, tasks will vary and therefore flexibility to roll up one’s sleeves will be crucial.
Hours are generally 8:00 am – 4:00 pm with lunch provided, but flexibility around these times is also needed at times. A willingness to work extra hours is required as the school is open beyond these times and occasionally at weekends. This post is for 52 weeks of the year and there is the possibility of on-site accommodation.

The Beacon is an independent day school for boys aged 3 to 13, near Amersham in Buckinghamshire, which is only 30 minutes by train from London.
