Kingstone Academy Trust, comprising Kingstone High School and Kingstone and Thruxton Primary School, is seeking to appoint an Estates manager who will have responsibility for managing the trust estate (grounds and buildings). We are located in a beautiful setting 5 miles southwest of Hereford serving a large rural catchment area, with an extensive site and superb sports facilities.

The role will also include procurement, Health and Safety, and compliance.   The Estates manager will manage a two site team staff and advise on, and implement, the day-to-day support that enables the Academy to operate effectively and efficiently, and that allows others to focus on teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will be flexible and show evidence of their ability to work well within a team, as well as being able to demonstrate clear leadership qualities and interpersonal skills. You will be used to working at both operational and strategic levels with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively, overseeing our capital investment plan and strategic maintenance programme. The ability to communicate clearly is a must: as is the capacity to work with a wide group of stakeholders including teachers, support staff, the Finance Director and the Heads of School, as well as external bodies.

We welcome applications from those seeking a part time role with flexible working arrangements (set your own diary). If you have any questions, or would like an informal

discussion about the role, please contact Mrs Sally Spreckley on

sspreckley@kingstoneacademy.co.uk or 01981 250224. Application packs are available to download from our website.   We look forward to hearing from you.

Kingstone Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All vacancies that involve working with vulnerable adults and/or children will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check at Enhanced Level, along with other standard pre-employment checks.

Kingstone Academy Trust reserves the right to withdraw this prior to the closing date should a successful candidate/s be identified.

Visions and value

The school aims to help every student reach their full potential by providing a range of opportunities and a safe and supportive environment to learn in. The school strives to offer a stimulating curriculum with a wide array of subjects, which includes an engaging range of extra-curricular activities.

The school aims to provide a personalised curriculum. While it emphasises the importance of the core subjects of English, maths and science, it also offers modern foreign languages, design technology, history, geography, P.E., art and music. The curriculum also prioritises opportunities to participate in local, national and international trips as well as extra-curricular activities which include textiles, football, basketball and choir.

Ofsted

“Teachers plan work carefully so that it builds on what students can already do. Activities are usually challenging for students of differing abilities, even where the spread of abilities in the class is wide. As a result, students make at least good progress in the very large majority of lessons.”
