Estates Manager
Location: King Edward VI College, Stourbridge
Contract: Full time, all year round
Salary: SFCA support staff pay scale 26-30 - £44,203 - £48,665
Join a forward-thinking sixth form college as our Estates Manager, where you will play a central role in maintaining and developing a high-quality learning environment for our students and staff.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive estates professional to lead the day-to-day management of our campus. You will oversee site operations, maintenance, compliance and contractor activity, ensuring that buildings and facilities are safe, well maintained and support a positive student experience.
Working closely with Trust estates colleagues and the senior leadership team, you will implement estates policies and compliance processes locally while providing valuable insight into estate condition, maintenance priorities and opportunities for campus improvement. The role also involves managing the estates team, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance, leading small to medium improvement projects and contributing to longer-term estate planning.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled estates or facilities manager who enjoys a varied operational role and takes pride in maintaining a professional, welcoming environment for young people aged 16–18.
We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills, experience managing buildings and contractors, and a sound understanding of operational standards.
If you are committed to high standards and want to contribute to a thriving sixth form community, we would welcome your application.
This is a permanent, full-time, all-year-round post subject to the conditions of service handbook of the Sixth Form Colleges Association. Full requirements for the role can be found in the attached job description and person specification.
Please note that CVs cannot be accepted. Applications must be sent electronically in the original format (Word document) to HR@kedst.ac.uk. Closing date for applications is 9.00 am Monday 13 April.
