Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College is a highly successful college located in the Universities area of Leeds. The College is rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and is always oversubscribed.

The College is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and dynamic individual to provide the highest quality estates and facilities service to ensure all students, staff and visitors have the highest possible experience. As estates operative you will be a member of the College site team, dedicated to providing estates and facilities services that consistently meet and exceed user needs and expectations. You will be positive, responsive, professional, trustworthy and capable of maintaining a safe and secure environment for teaching and learning.

It is vitally important for the efficient running of the College that the post holder maintains an excellent record of attendance and punctuality, is able to work as a member of a team, is flexible and is able to work under his/her own initiative.  

Estates at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College

The College prides itself on providing an outstanding environment internally and externally to ensure the experience of all staff, students and visitors is the best it can be. In support of this, currently there is a new 14 classroom building construction with completion planned for April 2023, and a number of exciting refurbishment plans to upgrade classrooms and facilities to be completed for August 2023.

The site team work collaboratively whilst also contributing specialist skills. They are responsible for ensuring the site at all times is maintained to its highest standards whilst also ensuring value for money. They provide a friendly, professional, and easy to use maintenance support service and aim to develop the estate in response to sustainability.

Please note the hours for this post are full time (37 hours per week), Mon – Thurs 6.30am to 2.30pm and 6.30am to 2pm Friday. This position includes a need for some flexibility to work additional hours (on a team rota) for some evenings (up to 10.30pm) and weekends work where site opening outside of normal hours or staff cover necessitates. Time off in lieu will be given for additional hours worked.
