We are looking to recruit an experienced, hands-on Project Manager to cover the maternity leave of the substantive postholder. Our schools need major investment to improve the condition of their buildings and deliver growth. Our goal is to provide a safe, reliable and efficient built environment to teach and learn, as our Project Manager you will be a leader in improving standards and protecting our structures, ensuring we have healthy places and healthy spaces across the North of England.

This role has a direct influence on making schools better by leading the delivery of our next ambitious capital programme. Reporting to the Director of Estates you will be responsible for the development and execution of projects including fire safety improvements, roof replacements, internal fitouts and sustainability projects.

You will be responsible for managing communications and information relating to the programme, ensuring all projects are properly developed and understood, and that disruption to our schools is minimised. You will develop briefs, establish objectives and work with specialists to ensure projects meet our requirements and all statutory and compliance matters are fulfilled. You will build relationships with the schools and be the point of contact for the estates programme, reporting on progress and overseeing quality.

The department is still new but we have high aspirations and this year have been nominated for several estates awards. We need an ambitious project manager to work with us over the next year to bring our schools back into a good condition.

How will you deliver this?

This is a hybrid role where some time will be spent in our head office based in Eccles, you will also be required to travel to our schools in the North West and North East so a driving license is essential. You will be managing your own workload with minimal supervision and expected to ensure projects are delivered successfully. You will be reporting progress regularly to senior trust figures as well as identifying and solving problems.

The successful candidate will present the best possible example of professional standards to colleagues.

To apply please download and complete the attached application form. Please note we do not accept CV’s. We ask that all completed application forms are sent to hr@consilium-at.com.

Please ensure that within your application you provide the names, addresses, and contact details for two referees, one of whom should be your current or most recent employer.

The closing date for applications is 16th December 2022 at 9am.

Interviews will take place on a date to be confirmed.
