Job overview

We are looking to appoint this new role to the School’s Campus Team as soon as possible. Providing a contactable presence on site during the evening for staff and visitors, this role will supervise the evening cleaning team alongside ensuring entrances and exits to buildings and the wider site are secure. 


This role is Mon – Fri, 28.75 hours per week during term time (4.45pm – 10.30 pm) and 15 hours per week, during school holidays (7.30pm – 10.30pm)


Applicants should have previous experience of either Cleaning or Caretaking and be prepared to use their initiative. Supervisory experience would be advantageous but training will be provided.


Successful applicants must be committed to safeguarding and will be subject to an enhanced DBS and Child protection checks. We are an equal opportunities employer.

Wellington School is a Church of England denominational, co-educational, day and boarding school in Somerset. As of the most recent inspection, there were 900 pupils on the school roll. The school’s motto is the opening of Psalm 127; ‘If God Be Not With Us, Our Labour is in Vain’. The Senior School teaches pupils between the ages of 11-18. The school also offers preparatory facilities from the ages of 3 onwards. Founded in 1837 as a boys school, Wellington has been fully independent and co-educational since 1978. The 35 acre site is a combination of traditional and more recent architecture. The school operates in both a boarding and day capacity.
